This thing has been sitting in my in-progress folder for wayyyyy too long. *BOOT* I might still do a little nitpicking here and there but for the most part, dis ar dern.
Originally, it was supposed to be a for a contest but that ended in a great big NOPE which was a shame because I could REALLY use that money to buy a new monitor. My current monitor has TERRIBLE gamma and a REALLY bad viewing range. A lot of my artwork does not look to you guys how it looks to me and that is infuriating. But those top-of-the-line monitors are SUPER expensive. I may also need new glasses. O__O I can barely even read what I'm typing right now.
Anyway..... I thought of retooling the monsters into robotic-creatures to convey a nature versus the machines kinda thing but then I thought the better of it. I've never really liked the idea that science and technology are inherently antagonistic towards nature. I don't believe they are. I think we absolutely can live technologically advanced lives while encroaching on nature only minimally but that would require a complete restructuring of our society and most importantly, a complete restructuring of how we think. Quite frankly, I don't think that's very likely and it leaves me worried for the future. Nevertheless, I refuse to believe that science and technology are at fault. They are things. You can't blame a thing. Things have no agency. People who say science and technology are the enemy are just trying to avoid putting the blame where it really belongs.
